I signed a contract to have a pool cover installed in my retirement home on 5/19/2005. The installed was completed on 10/21/2005 and I had my first problem with it a little more than a month later, 11/25/2005.
The company was Coverstar of Lindon, UT 84042. I am still having problems, going month after month with an inoperative cover. All the problems stem from the original installer who was also the salesman. On the day of the install he stated the installers were delayed on the interstate and he would start the job. He finished in the dark and it was and has been a disaster ever since. He lied to me, took my money ($8,295) and ran.
To this date (9/8/2007), I have 32 copies of letters, emails and phone calls trying to get my problems resolved, all to no avail. I am 70 yrs. old and on limited income, and Coverstar does not care.
If anyone is thinking of getting a pool cover, leave my a message on my blog. This company gives lip service to customer service; sits in Utah and hopes some dealer or distributor will get the job done. Deal with someone local and do not trust someone out of state. Make sure your contractor is registered in your state.
